Duke now comes back when told even when off his leash outside!
I thought I would just let you know how much I appreciated Duke’s obedience just recently.
We were headed out the door for a trip when Duke took the opportunity to get out of the not completely closed front screen door. He dashed across the street and into the yard, ready for exploration. read more…

Bebe’s training with Dog Gone Good helps her land her spot in a WCUI commercial and also Miss August for America’s TopDog Model Calendar.
I just wanted to thank you for the great success I had with Bebe, my 4 yr old Maltese, due to your classes!
Bebe had to pose for a modeling shoot for 4 hours to prepare for a calendar contest. Due to the training I learned from with you, she was just remarkable! She stood still and held poses for over 100 shots and the photographer was just amazed at how well trained she was! read more…

Gracie is a new dog after attending Dog Gone Good’s class…and new baby preparation was a big success!!!
I just wanted to say thank you for all the help and other great tools you gave my husband, Kris, and I in training Gracie, our year and half year old Chow/Siberian Husky pup. Before your basic obedience class, Gracie was in total control, of the house, and of us. She knew the everyday commands, but only listened to them when she felt like it. She was a monster to walk, always pulling and yanking on her leash read more…

Training helps get picture-perfect shot
I just wanted to send you a copy of the great photos I had done of the dogs.
If it wasn’t for your training guidance, this picture would have never taken place. The photographer commented on what well-trained dogs they were (in Hannah’s case at 14 she can’t help being well-behaved). People shopping in the Orland Square JC Penney (where the pix were done) were also marveling at how well-mannered the dogs were.
Thanks again for the guidance!

Training helps two dogs learn to get along!
We had come to you for help, because our 7 year old beagle/pointer was not adjusting well to our new foster pup (which we adopted). With the diligence of our continued at-home training, committing to it, and attending your classes, we now have a peaceful family. Actually the pup and the beagle are now best of friends and romp and play together all the time.
Thank you for all your help!!! Hope to see you for tricks soon!

Training with Dog Gone Good helps owners with their Jack Russell’s stubborn behavior and now everyone is happier, including their dog Bailey.
I can’t thank you enough for all of the help you gave us in training our beloved but stubborn Jack Russell, Bailey. I was skeptical about how much of a change we would be able to accomplish since she was already five years old, had an obstinate nature, and was allowed to rule us for so long. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can in fact teach an old dog new tricks! read more…

Cookie’s family enjoyed the way class was taught
I wanted to tell you that I thought your class was very beneficial and we will continue to work with Cookie and utilize what we have learned. (Or are still trying to learn 🙂
Once Cookie gets the basics down, we may consider proceeding on with other classes.
Thank you for being a great instructor and I also always recommend you to our puppy-friends-in need.
We all liked you, your style, and personality. You are wonderful at your job. (Or should I say passion?)
It doesn’t seem to be much of a job by how you interact with the people and animals. (And that’s a good thing!) We wish we were able to say thank you in person…we really enjoyed the time with our puppy.
Thank you again for a great class!

Training helps Lhasa overcome excessive barking at neighbors and friends
We have a wonderful Lhasa, named Cagney who had one little quirk, he didn’t like to have anyone in the house (company, etc.) except family. He would bark excessively, for hours when people were over, until you were at your wits end. It got to the point where we stopped inviting people over, read more…

Maggie won “Most Obedient Pet” award at a local Pet Parade
Maggie was in the Elmhurst Pet Parade last Saturday; we didn’t stick around for the awards and events after the parade. My daughters got a letter in the mail today telling them that Maggie had won the category “Most Obedient Pet”.
I thought you might enjoy hearing that!
Take care and keep up the good work

Classes help Leo socialize and overcome his anxiety
Michele’s passion for animals is obvious. Her training skills helped us learn proper techniques. Plus we had fun! Appreciated alternate training tips if some weren’t working, offered good tips on general dog care. Thank you! Leo hopes to return to show his tricks and all he’s learned. This has helped with his anxiety and socialization.

Louie trains to become an assistance dog
Louie was a very energetic Labrador Retriever puppy.
Since I have MS I knew that many dog training activities would be difficult and I was worried that my electric “scooter” might spook other puppies.
Michele came to my home and she figured-out how to adapt the “standard” puppy and basic obedience command to my situation. She also provided suggestions how to obtain the socialization skills we missed by not attending a group class. read more…

Goldie is no longer in charge of the house and family
Thank you so much for teaching our family how to nurture a behaved dog in our house.
Before we started working with you, our dog Goldie, who we all love very much, was dominating our house.
Even though we had been through other training, she really was not responding to our commands.
With your help, we learned how to show her that she was not in charge of the humans. She is now 100 times better with respecting us and doing what we ask read more…

Training helps dog overcome jumping and barking at visitors
I just wanted to thank you again for helping Vinnie and I and also wanted to share some successes we had this past week. On two separate occasions, Vinnie displayed excellent “greeting” behavior. In a very short period of time, he literally was lying down waiting for the guest to greet him, unlike his prior behavior which was a lot of barking and jumping. I know we still have to work on this, but he took one giant step in less than a week!
Our next goal is the “recall” command, one that is a little tougher for us since he seems to have a mind of his own!
Thanks again for all your excellent insights!
Laura and Vinnie too! May 21, 2015
Cocoa learns not to lunge and bark at other dogs and people
It was much more than I expected. Excellent, caring, and so knowledgeable. The ideas you had to deal with different problems were so helpful. Having a reactive dog, you knew how to handle her and show us how to work with her. Seeing our Cocoa respond was amazing. Great training and education for us. Hand out sheets were helpful.

Charlie overcomes his fear of men and vet visits and finds his forever home
It is difficult to understand why someone would be cruel to a dog like Charlie or any other dog. But thanks to Michelle, we’ve been able to work through his difficulties and he’s become quite a character and a valuable member of the family. We could not have done it without Michele’s expertise to guide us. read more…

Zingo has a great time in his first class
Hi Michele, Thank you so much for the wonderful class. I learned so much. I will continue to work with Zingo so that he continues to get better. He is so much fun and is a good learner. I will see you again after the first of the year.
